Silence is the perpetrators friend. Break the silence! Sharing your pain with an understanding compassionate person can start the healing process.

Unhealed wounds hurt. But scars are different. They are proof of wounds healed. They don't hurt like they did when they were raw wounds. They are reminders of harm overcome.

It is often events in our past which hold us back from reaching our greatest potential. Healing those events can help us achieve new hights. You can put your past behind you.
And just because it's still with you, doesn't mean you cant put it behind you.

Sometimes what looks like no big deal is actually a huge success. recognize your achievement and be gentle with yourself.

And each day is an opportunity to try something new.

Fear lets us know to stay alert and be careful. And on Halloween it can also be fun.Healing your history can be amazing and wonderful. But it is also challenging and tiring. While deep in the mud, it can be easy to forget how much healing you have accomplished. Pause some times to notice how far you have come. Celebrating your progress is a great way to renew your strength for the next step in your healing journey.

You deserve to heal your history.

You deserve to heal your history.

Silence is the perpetrators friend. Break the silence! Sharing your pain with an understanding compassionate person can start the healing process.

Sometimes you just need to hold on and get through. When that is the case, don't beat yourself up for it.

Lean in for a better future!

Just because that is how it's always been doesn't mean that it's how it must always be. Healing your history helps open up other options.Sometimes it helps to focus on just this step.

If a loving touch puts you in a tailspin, please know that this is a part of yourself trying to keep you safe. Maybe that part doesn't know the danger is past.

Your inner child isn't being a brat, they're hurting.

Although Austin's plethora of meditation and yoga studios suggests a city full of chill people, not everyone is comfortable being so chill. Survivors of childhood sexual or physical abuse often find the idea of being peaceful, quiet or calm as intolerable. Take a minute and sit quietly focusing on your breathing. Some people find that they get tense or upset when they try to do this. Some people find that they can't make their minds quiet; this is very common for beginning meditators. It can also be that a person's mind believes being quiet or calm is dangerous.
